This is the release of my first album. Despite not having lyrics, a story nonetheless. Journey through different parts of human destiny. From resentment of such fate throught its acceptance and peace that comes along, and back to resentment and dread. That's the point where the album ends, however not the story. Story itself is older than our civilization and will remain here long after us. Sisyphus is not just a character from Ancient Greek mythology. He is a personification of never-ending human endeavor facing the lack of obvious meaning.

According to ancient greek mythology, Sisyphus was also a trickster. He considered himself to be smarter than gods and that led to his punishment. But I don't think it ends there. As Albert Camus suggested in his book, we can imagine Sisyphus being happy and content with his fate. Voluntary acceptance of such fate might be his last trick that turns eternal punishment into happiness and meaning.

If he really did that, maybe he was actually smarter than gods. When I look around today, I see the old gods being dead and slowly forgotten. But Sisyphus is still part of everybody that ever walked this planet. He is part of everybody that ever strived for something despite their own mortality and limitations. He is part of the universal human condition. Always was and always will be...
